Hydro Power Shaft

The hydropower main shaft usually refers to the main shaft of the hydroelectric generator, which is a key component in the hydroelectric generator set. Its function is to connect the turbine runner and the generator rotor, and transmit torque, transferring the mechanical energy of the turbine to the generator to achieve the power generation function.

1. Material selection: It is usually made of high-quality forged steel such as 35 #, 40 #, 45 #, or 20SiMn. In recent years, the main shaft of domestic pumped storage power stations has been selected according to Class E in ASTM A668 standard, which can ensure that the main shaft has sufficient strength and stiffness to withstand complex forces.

2. Structural form: From the perspective of axis arrangement structure, there have been four forms: three axis arrangement structure, whole axis structure, two axis arrangement structure, and "shaftless structure".
